Born January 20th, 1958, the son of Kenneth and Minnie Barnett, brother Barnett joined Miles Lodge No. 341 in Cupio Kentucky. He served the Lodge as Master in 1988.He is currently a dual member with Fairdale Lodge No. 942 in Fairdale Kentucky. Brother Barnett was employed by the old Masonic Home Print Shop from 1979-2001. In 1992, brother Barnett became Editor of the Masonic Home Journal publication, and is currently serving as Editor. He is the owner of Graphic Images, a Graphic Design and Printing Company, in Louisville Kentucky. Brother Barnett served the Grand Lodge of Kentucky as District Deputy in District 17 in 1990-1991 Under Grand Master Arnold E. Wyatt. He served the Grand Lodge of Kentucky on the Publicity Committee for several years, and in October 1998, he was elected as Grand Jr. Warden for the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He served as Sr. Grand Warden 1999-2000, and Deputy Grand Master 2000-2001. In October 2001,brother Barnett was elected and installed to serve the craft of Kentucky as Grand Master for the Grand Lodge of Kentucky. During Brother Barnett?s term as Grand Master, He along with his wife Alice, worked with Hospice and the Lodges of Kentucky to raise money to help support this worthy cause, that touches the lives of so many families. Together with the efforts of his District Deputies, Lodge activities, various fund raisers across the state, and the sale of a lapel pin designed by the First Lady, Alice Barnett, brother Barnett was proud to present a check to Hospice at his Grand Lodge session, for over $70,000.00. Brother Barnett is a Member of The Valley of Louisville Ancient And Accepted Scottish Rite. Brother Barnett served the Orient of Kentucky as Membership Chairman from 2002-2005. He was Invested with the honor of Knight Commander Court of Honor in September 2001. He received the 33rd Degree in November 2005. Brother Barnett was appointed to serve the Valley of Louisville Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite as Personal Representative to the Illustrious John E. Moyers, 33 PGM, Sovereign Grand Inspector General of Kentucky in January 2006. Brother Barnett was appointed to serve the Orient of Kentucky as Deputy of the Supreme Council Southern Jurisdiction in January 2010 by the Sovereign Grand Commander, Ronnie Seale 33rd Degree. In August 2011, brother Barnett was elected to Serve the Supreme Council Southern Jurisdiction A.A.S.R as the Sovereign Grand Inspector General. Brother Barnett is also a member of the York Rite Bodies, Kosair Shrine Temple, and Order of the Eastern Star.
